ULTRA PORTABLE GASOLINE ENGINE VERSION Oil Heated, Gasoline Engine Powered
HOW IT WORKS: Simply attach your water supply and turn it on, typically a garden hose. Add gasoline to the engine and fill the heating fuel tank with the specified fuel, typically Kerosene, Diesel,  #2 Home Heating Oil. Now connect  your steam/pressure hose and nozzel. Now that we are fueled up and connected to the water supply start the engine. For cold water press the appropriate button. Pull the trigger on the wand to begin cleaning. For hot water cleaning (up to 210° F) at high pressure simply flip on the heater switch on and begin cleaning. For super heated steam (up to 325° F) set the controls to steam and clip on the quick connect steam nozzel tip. Begin cleaning. The operation is very simple and the unit is very user friendly. QUESTION: What do you mean by OIL FIRED or OIL HEATED?
ANSWER: The Oil Is What Heats The Water. Oil can be simple Kerosene, Diesel,  #2 Home Heating Oil, or JP-4 Jet Fuel. The most commonly used fuel is Diesel.

QUESTION: What powers the water pressure?
ANSWER: It depends upon the model. The OMP (Oil MOTOR Powered) models shown on this page are powered by a top of the line Kohler Command Series gasoline engine (the black engine shown above) or an optional diesel engine. If you choose to order your unit with a diesel engine it is an additional cost. Other models have the water pressure driven by electric pumps. 120V, 220V, 440V etc. (Note, at the time this was written the engine used is a Kohler Command Series, however, though unlikely this is subject to change without notice)

QUESTION: How easy is it to start the gas engine?
ANSWER: The engine has a starter motor on it. Simply push a button and the unit starts up. It is as easy as starting your car. You will need a small 12V battery. A simple lawn tractor battery will due nicely. In fact, all the features are activated by a push of a button.

QUESTION: What is the advantages of a gasoline powered unit vs. electric?
ANSWER: The gasoline version eliminates the need for any external power source. This makes the unit extremely mobile and portable. It can be transported to remote job sites where there is no electrical hook-up. All you need is a water supply.

QUESTION: Can I clean INDOORS with this type of steamer?
ANSWER: Yes, however, you can not take the actual machine indoors. Rather, you simply leave it outside and walk in the pressure hose. The unit comes standard with a very long 50 foot high pressure hose. You can easily add another 50 or 100 feet to that. This length is usually more then enough to go inside one door of a building and out the other. To put it into perspective, 150 feet is half of a football field. As you can see, the engine verison shown on this page gives you the best of both worlds, full portability and ease of use outdoors in places like parking lots and playgrounds and the ability to clean indoors as well.

QUESTION: What Fuel Types Are Available?
ANSWER: We have two types of steam units.  #1) All Electric Heated (requires 220V to 575V 3 Phase outlets) generally for emissions free indoor use.  #2) Fuel Heated. This can be Natural Gas or Oil Fired. Call for more information.

QUESTION: What does PSI and GPM stand for?
ANSWER: PSI Stands for "Pounds per Square Inch" of pressure. It tells you how powerful the unit is. GPM stand for "Gallons of water Per Minute". This tells you how much water the unit uses.

QUESTION: Why a super heated pressure washer rather then just a cold water one?
ANSWER: Cold water at high pressures can be a powerful cleaning tool. Hot water can also be a powerful cleaning tool. When you combine high pressures and super heated water/steam you get superior cleaning results. You can clean AND sanitize surfaces in one pass. This saves you time and money. This super heated cleaning power allows you to clean items in seconds or minutes that once took hours. The hot water breaks down biological and chemical compounds while simultaneously blasting them away. Cold water tends to harden these compounds making them resistant to cleaning. There is no question that cleaning with pressurized hot water is a far superior in virtually every way.
