What It Does
Allows you to
Easily power 220 volt equipment
from ordinary household 115V or 120V volt outlets.
To use the converter, plug it into two
common household outlets, connect 220v
equipment and begin use. Access to 220 volt power is
made easy, fast and safe without the heat and weight of
a step-up transformer.
More: Notice that the converter has two
plugs on the back. To make the unit
work simply plug one cord into a wall
socket and plug the other cord into
another socket or outlet. When you have
it plugged in right, the easy ready
light pops on! The picture to the right
is just for illustration purposes but it
gives you the idea. Usually, you will
have to plug one of the plugs in one
room and the other into another room.
Why? Well the converter need to be on
two independent circuits. This means you
can't plug it into the same outlet or
another outlet that runs on the same
circuit. Usually, the next room over in
your home or office will be on a
different circuit. This is why you see
an extension cord being used in the
picture to the lower right of this text.
Simply plug your extension cord into
different outlets until the little amber
ready light pops on. This is your signal
that all systems are go! Now plug
your 220 Volt device in and get to work
using it.
IMPORTANT:
Be sure the 220V device you want to
run does not draw more then 3,300 Watts,
15 Amps of continuous power maximum.
If your device uses more power, this
unit will not work for your machine.
Less wattage or amps is okay, but not
more then 3,300 Watts, 15 Amps.
You can find this power information on
the back of the machine or device you
want to run. Look at the lable.
Applications
These converters work great with industrial equipment. They are perfect for
contractors or home owner that wants instant access to 220 volts on job
sites where no 220 volt outlet is available!
Other applications
include technical equipment, computer servers, power
tools, international appliances, air conditioners, high
efficiency clothes dryers and many more.
How
to use it
Plug the converter into two
independent 110 or 120 volt outlets without ground fault
interrupters in the circuits.
The ground fault outlets are those outlets you often
find in your kitchen or bathroom with the little test &
rest buttons. Don't plug into them as they will simply
trip. Look for a regular outlet. The amber light on the
converter tells you when it is ready. Connect your
220 volt equipment. Begin.

EASY OPERATION
GUIDE
Read the complete instructions and safety
information supplied with the Quick 220 Power Tap before
use.

1. Its a good
idea to test 110/120 volt outlets with outlet tester
supplied (TESTER INCLUDED) with the
converter to make sure the outlet is wired correctly and
does not have a ground fault interrupter in the circuit.
2.
Plug one of the Quick 220 Power Tap's cords into a
standard 110/120 volt outlet.
3.
Plug the other power cord into a different outlet,
using an extension
cord of appropriate length. Or if
you like, plug both ends into extension cords to locate
the converter where ever you need it.
4.
The amber lamp on the front cover will light when
connection is made to an
outlet on an independent
circuit. If the lamp doesn't light, try different outlets until it does.
No special knowledge or action is required by the user.
5. Plug
equipment into the 220/240 volt outlet on Quick 220
system and begin use.
